A FAMILY TRADITION
For generations in Central Texas, the McAtee name has stood for industry, service, and excellence. Today, Brazos Bend Ranch spans 1,200 acres of rolling terrain, natural springs, and majestic oaks overlooking its own 1.5-mile stretch of the Brazos. Blanketed in coastal Bermuda and decorated with historic water outcroppings, Brazos Bend represents the best of what Texas can offer a premium cow-calf operation. For decades, the ranch has invested in its commercial herd of all-natural, grass-fed Brangus cattle, first sired by registered Angus bulls from 44 Farms and now by its own proprietary BBR bulls drawing on the best 44 Farms genetics. The result is a product of uncommon quality—hearty, uniform yearlings, replacement heifers, and young bulls of known, all-natural origin and proven performance.
Brazos Bend Ranch is about family, stewardship, and legacy. Fifty years ago, we hoped to start something special, rooted in hard work and exceptional cattle. Now, it’s our family’s honor to realize that vision for the benefit of future generations.

What began as young couple’s dream in 1976 is now a family passion. Situated in the heart of the Brazos River Valley, Brazos Bend Ranch is where three generations gather to learn from each other, care for the herd, and celebrate God’s creation. What began as a place to raise horses and cattle has become a place to raise grandchildren – all five of them.
